This project is designed to challenge and engage players with its addicting and easy, but hard-to-master controls. The game features a minimalistic style with an easy-to-navigate, user-friendly interface. The main goal is to create a game that pushes players to their mental limits, creating a sense of challenge and frustration, while also wanting to give it one more go. The game consists of multiple levels, each with its own layout and flow. Players control a dinosaur character, which then navigates through the level by dodging obstacles, and enemies, then, reaching a portal where the next level begins. The movement mechanics are stiff and semi-randomized to increase difficulty.Â
The core mechanics include a health and life system, character upgrades, and power-ups. Players can collect an in-game currency, called bones, that is used to purchase player upgrades and power-ups in the in-game item shop. New players have the option to view game controls and how to play the game, allowing unfamiliar players to easily get started. Sound design and background music are implemented to enhance the sense of immersion. The difficulty, sound, and music options are all available to the player in a settings menu. The game also features a player feedback system, allowing players to share their thoughts and suggestions with me for future improvements.
